Achievements

Nelson Iginla- Plays in the Tournament Group at FWTEC, Graduate of Minneapolis South High School.  Nelson won the Eve Kraft Scholarship from the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation (only two of these are given out nationally).  He was selected for the 2008 USTA National Team Championships.  This Fall Nelson will be attending Penn.  Check back for updates!

Lacey Sprinkel- Plays in the Tournament Group at FWTEC.  An 8th grade home school student who will be attending Minneapolis South next year.  Currently plays #1 Singles for South, and has an undefeated record of 18-0.  Lacey was a 14U Zonals participant and is currently ranked #7 in the Northern Section for 14's.  She recently played at the Nike Junior Championships in CA.

 

 

 

Laura Johnson- Played in the Tournament Group at FWTEC, Attended Northfield High School.  She won the 2007 USTA Northern Sportsmanship Award.  Laura is entering her sophomore year at the University St. Thomas

 

 

 

Kyle Kapaun- Plays in the Tournament Group at FWTEC.  He is entering his junior year at Como Park High School. In 2007/08 Kyle won a GTCTA Indoor Program Scholarship. 

 

 

Bridget Doyle- Part of the Tournament Group here at FWTEC is entering her senior year at Visitation High School. Bridget won a 2007/08 GTCTA Indoor Program Scholarship, and is also the winner of a 2008 Tennis & Education Incentive Award (only two are given out nationally).  Bridget was also selected for the 2008 World Team Tennis Team, representing the Northern Section.  Bridget is known for her hard work and great sportsmanship.  Bridget is currently ranked 5th for Class AA Singles.

Melissa Doyle- Part of the Tournament Group is a graduate of Visitation High School.  She has won a 4 year scholarship from the USTA Tennis & Education Foundation worth $6,000 and will be attending University of St. Thomas this Fall.

Maalik Konop-Defreitas- Plays in our Tournament Group at FWTEC.  Entering the 8th grade at Highland Park Middle School, Maalik plays for the Highland Park High School team.  He was the winner of the NJTL Leadership Camp Scholarship.

Brian Sack- Part of our High School 2 Group, is entering his freshman year at Minneapolis South High School.  He was the winner of the Nike Camp Tennis Scholarship and was the 14's Team Tennis Area sportsmanship award winner.
